The Spirit of Entrepreneurship is crucial to thrive in any activity today be it in a social field or economic field. CEI’s Entrepreneurship and Incubation Programme will aim to develop and enhance various skill-sets, ideas and networks for promotion of entrepreneurship and incubate ideas & start-ups to come up with path-breaking disruptive technologies.
The present economic scenario across the world demands talent, hard work, discipline and a whole gamut of opportunities that one can pursue, if one has the drive to do it. The Government of India also encourages entrepreneurship through various programmes. With its network of Global Stalwarts, Industry Leaders, Investors, Mentors and Businesspeople across various domains, gives CEI a unique edge to nurture an ecology of ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT, JOB CREATION & INCUBATION keeping with the dynamic global socio-economic conditions and technological advancement.
CEI has been implementing Market-Linked Entrepreneurship Development and Institution Building, working in collaboration with various government bodies and other stakeholders, in rural and tribal areas as well.
The poor, backward, and marginalised sections of the society face a plethora of challenges as they remain outside the realm of social, educational, and economic inclusion. These communities often find themselves stuck in the vicious cycle of illiteracy, resourceless-ness, malnutrition, and poverty. There are no sources of employment in the region with a result that a majority of tribals are poor and fully dependent on land (agriculture) for their survival. A holistic approach is required to strengthen these communities and closely involve them with the entire process of their upliftment, subsequently allowing for the disenfranchised population to help them escape the vicious poverty cycle.
CEI launched various Market-linked Entrepreneurship Development programmes for rural and tribal communities of Raigad district, Maharashtra.
CEI achieved this by:
- Providing Logistical Support, Sales, Marketing and Distribution Infrastructure
- Access to Retail and Wholesale Agricultural Market
- Bringing a positive behavioural transformation amongst the youth enabling them to gain the confidence required to open their own businesses.
CEI is implementing long-term Entrepreneurial Initiatives including Ayurvedic Vanaspati Project, Gaushala Project, Horticulture & Organic Farming Programme, Honey Extraction Economic Empowerment Initiative, Tribal Brick-Makers Empowerment Initiative, Goatery Farming, Tribal Art & Handicrafts Project, Computer Training Programmes and creation of Centres of Entrepreneurship and Empowerment.
