Over the last century, the numbers of the rural, tribal population have been dwindling. This decrease in population has a direct connect with them being outside the realm of Educational, Economic and Social Security. Socially and Economically disadvantaged, these communities lack access to the most basic of amenities, including documents, food, water, shelter and a stable source of Income. CEI Strives to build an Ecology of Safety and Security for the most marginalised, deprived and isolated sections of society – and has been doing so through provision of basic documentation, financial inclusion programmes, avenues of income generation and access to Government Welfare Schemes. A robust team of legal professionals ensure that these communities are provided their right to Equal Opportunity and Justice, combating Exploitation or Discrimination of any kind. This also shields them from those who’ve exploited them for centuries (Maoists, Naxals) and pushed them further into the vicious cycle of disenfranchisement – illiteracy – poverty.
