Due to the Increasing climate changes there are several factors which affect the living conditions of the people in the Coastal areas. It becomes very difficult for people to tend to themselves in such situations when they are dependent on somebody else. That’s why we at CEI have some initiatives that not only fulfill the SDG’s but also create a sustainable city and community for the tribal communities.
Under the Disaster Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Project CEI carries out immediate repair work of all the damaged roofs and walls of houses, schools, samaj mandirs, gaushalas and other infrastructure; undertakes immediate reconstruction work of properties that have been completely damaged and works towards long term solutions in sustainable livelihoods through Resiliency and Development Economics Solutions.

The villages are in remote areas, spread out across the entire taluka, and are difficult to reach. Therefore, the number of beneficiaries/villages we can reach out to per day is also less. Also, CEI keeps getting information on almost a daily basis regarding new beneficiaries from local leaders and government officials. Due diligence is conducted to ensure that people in need truly exist in these places and that there is no misuse of resources at any level under the pretext of disaster relief.
