In order to holistically empower our tribal communities, they must be integrated and made stakeholders in mainstream development and empowerment.
CEI has successfully enabled a strong and massive ecosystem of Empowerment; ensuring that the tribals have access to the basic necessity of Identity in addition to Health Empowerment, Strategic Empowerment through Entrepreneurship Development, Spiritual Empowerment through Meditation Camps, and Women Empowerment through Financial Inclusion Initiatives. Thus, CEI is successfully annihilating anti-humanitarian ecosystems.
CEI adopted Strategic Empowerment Initiatives and a Participative Approach, by ensuring:
Ownership of Land:
In collaboration with the District Administration, CEI made sure that all the 6 Tribals receive occupancy rights over the land they had been allotted in 2011, but could not get ownership due to bureaucratic procedural delay – thus ensuring Last-Mile Delivery of land they rightfully deserved but didn’t have access to.
Possession of Ration Cards and Caste Certificates:
CEI educated tribal groups about the importance and need for a Ration Card and Caste Certificate. Ration Cards also allowed them access to subsidized food items and LPG.

Bank Accounts and Deposit in Bank Accounts:
CEI ensured tribals’ inclusion into the financial ecosystem by facilitating the opening of SBI Bank Accounts and sharing the requisite information through awareness camps.
Access to Legal Aid against Discrimination and Exploitation:
We ensured that these tribal groups became a part of the safe and empowering ecology nurtured by us. A robust team of legal professionals ensures that these tribal communities are provided their right to equal opportunity and justice, combating exploitation or discrimination of any kind.
Membership of Self-Help Groups:
Several defunct SHGs in Raigad were brought back into operation, keeping in mind the tribal communities’ active involvement in their growth process.
CEI is also facilitating Self-help Groups (SHGs) being linked to institutional banking systems and formal lending system. CEI is playing an important function by implementing last-mile delivery and linkages of various Government Welfare programmes with local people through Self Help Group formation in remote villages.
